Jondy's Badge Gear [for Resto Druid]

Introducing my wife's main, Jondayla. A fully resto tree of life druid, whose lifeblooms have sustained me through many an instance.

I wanted to get a proper, concise, relevant badge gear list for Jondy and since wowhead linking works so well on the blog, the best way to compare them all is to present them here.

... Now to decide on an order to purchase these... badge's of justice don't just grow on trees. Although Jondy just got one today in a package from the new 2.4 dailies!

My Gyro

Today Barrath made me a Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer.

One day before the patch [where Primal Nether is no longer BOP [bind on pickup]], in a last fit of irony, Jondy, Barrath, Lashana, Mortslock and I went into Heroic Mechanar and conspired to get Barrath his first primal nether. Lashana and Mort were kind enough to pass [thanks again guys].

Barrath was impressed that I had all the mats in my BAGS so I could trade them to him before even leaving the instance.

14k Health

I cracked the 14k health mark the other day, with the help of the Netherwing. I became revered, and got a great trinket - the Commander's badge. The Netherwing helper is cute, but unfortunately he can't be used indoors.

I had to regem a little, so that my defence remained above 490 but it was about time, since I had been a little cheap with some of my lesser gear.

Now that I've hit the 14k mark, it's time to work on more avoidance/mitigation and more threat stats.

Stalwart Defending c/o Mort

Today I got to replace the Felsteel Helm crafted shortly after getting to 70, with the Helm of the Stalwart Defender.

The before shot:

Having eyed off the plans in the auction house so often, but never being able to justify the [usually overpriced] 100s of gold required to get the plans *before* getting the mats together... a fellow warrior, blacksmith and guildy: Mort got them!

Not only did Mort have the plans, but he also fronted the primal nether to get me into a new helm, and inches away from 14k health.

It's taken me a while to get used to the look of the new helm... but Jondy has helped, joking that it makes me look like the rabit suit from Donnie Darko. At least I can tell I've got aggro when tanking with all the other boys and their new felsteel set.

Good deed for the day, for Zand

Today I made Ragesteel Shoulders [pictured] for my nephew, Zandrewz.

He has respecced [again] to Fury, which I think is a good move. In almost every conversation with Zand, I am overwhelmed with his excitement for damage dealing... the best example of which was him choosing the DPS ring from the Violet Eye whilst tanking in Karazhan.

Barrath's first Kara Epic

By way of quick introduction, I'm Borgthor [or Borg] - a protection spec'd human warrior [TANK] on Dath'Remar. Lots of this blog will aimed at toons that know me in game - on online scrap book of our adventures in Azeroth... and beyond. The rest will be highly topical, articulate commentary on the World of Warcraft for everyone to enjoy. There'll be something for everyone... but not every post will be everything to everyone. Enough intro...

In homage to the man that got me started on World of Warcraft, and a welcome back to the guild, here's a shot of Barrath's new epic shoulders looted from Romulo in Karazhan.

Beastmaw Pauldrons were a pleasure to master loot and hand over to the only hunter in the raid [sorry Lis], and a tidy piece of kit for our BM hunter who only recently stepped into Kara, but always rates high on our dps list.

Barrath is a highly qualified engineer, who is always ready to go with a repair bot. I have a Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer on backorder with him, so as soon as he gets a primal nether, or patch 2.4 lets me hand one over... it'll be ready. I've been holding the mats in my bags [not bank, bags] for a long time now, and like they say, it's the only gun you'll ever need... but if it'd ain't made by Barrath, it ain't worth a damn.

Over the course of my blogging, I'll introduce you to the rest of the gang, including my wife, Barrath's wife, my nephews and other guildies as they wish to become known. I'll talk about tanking a little bit [but there are many other great resources for that [which I'll link]], I probably won't resist crunching some numbers, including one of my favourite topics, the World of Warcraft economy and the auction house. As a reminder of where I'm at, and where I've been, I'll add my pertinent tank stats as the signature for each post... Hopefully I'll crack 14k health soon.
